Safire is a Chicago based dance troupe focusing on the art of Middle Eastern and Folkloric dance. Safire’s purpose is to spread the joy of Middle Eastern culture through music and dance, while encouraging cross cultural understanding.

Our shows bring out the best of the art of belly dance, invoking various themes within the Middle Eastern culture such as tabla drum, classical choreography, saidi, khaleeji, beledi, Iraqi and even comedy.
This dynamism and variety sets Safire apart, making us the premier belly dancers at established venues such as Untitled and The Drifter in River North, Alhambra Palace, The Comedy Bar and Juliana Restaurant, the oldest Middle Eastern club in Chicago.
